Reduce trade with China.
We as a nation have practically become solely dependent on China for almost everything we need. We should turn our minds back to the days when most things we needed were made here. Now it’s practically impossible to find anything made in Australia. If we employed some of our unemployed in manufacturing the items we need, there would be no need for China to produce them for us. Their income would reduce, their manufacturing would decline, there would be less pollution, the world would benefit. Beware of China’s communist regime they are hungry to rule the world and all those in it.
Remember the Perth Children’s Hospital debarkle, the building was late being finished by two years, and then when it was due to open it was found to have lead in the water. Who was responsible for the plumbing units which were installed? They were made in China, but not made to Australian standards. It was found that the Chinese manufacturers had lessened the brass contents of the components by using lead to make it cheaper. Every ship delivering Chinese made goods to our shores should be thoroughly checked for quality and Australian standards as you can bet we have been screwed again.
It’s about time we woke up and went back to manufacturing our own products. We used to build farm machinery here. It’s unbelievable a country like Australia as big as we are in agriculture, not building our own machinery. Wake up Australia! It’s not hard, we used to do it.
Politicians talk to industry, see what they need and make it happen. We have all the materials here; we have the labour available in the huge percentage of unemployed here. If we have to, find a good machine, buy it, pull it apart and remake it. That’s what China does; they
steal the good things and remake them as their own.
Since when did Australia start kowtowing to china, if they want to buy our wines, beef, seafood etc then let them. If they want to blackmail us by putting a tariff on the goods we trade with them, then tell them where to go. I know they are powerful, but fair is fair.
Our products are good because that’s how we do things. China’s products are all sub-standard; that’s the difference.
I implore Australians to stop buying their inferior quality merchandise and buy Australian then we won’t have this problem.
