I was born in 1937. From my earliest memories of a wonderful childhood to the present time, my life has been one long adventure. I recently published a book called “The Way Things Were” by Dudley Gordon because my passion has always been the sea and fishing, both professional and recreational. I was introduced to fishing, boating, and the life of the fishermen of Bunbury at the age of 11, and my love of the sea and fishing has never wavered.
I have lived and worked in WA all my life from Augusta in the South to Geraldton in the North. In my opinion, we have the best state in Australia and I for one want to keep it that way.
I have been aware of the need to bring the water down from the north since Ernie Bridge MP first suggested it. Since retiring, I have made it my mission to see what I could do to make it happen by lobbying politicians. So far, not much has happened, but I have met some very interesting people along the way. I won’t give up the fight.
